December 9, 2009...HOORAY!!!! Happy Birthday Jevesh! You are One Year Old!!!

You have come a long way baby! A year in pictures only scratches the surface of the love that we have, that we share, that we give and that we have been given.

Once empty, aching, hollow places in our hearts that we thought would never be filled, have indeed been filled, overflowing with joy, love, and happiness by the little angel we have been blessed with, watched over by his guardian angel that left us.

There are few words that can express the thanks and gratitude we have for all those friends, family, and community members that have shared their love, their prayers, their blessings, and their lives to help Deepika and Jevesh. Please know you all have been a blessing and we cannot express enough the gratitude we have for you all.

I have been blessed to have these angels in my life...I wish for Deepika and Jevesh good health, infinite happiness, plentiful good fortune, and long lovely lives filled with a bounty of blessings.

April 09, 2009...Happy Birthday baby...

Another short update for you all. I spoke with Deepika and Jevesh is recovering well. He is in a bit of pain right now and the doctors are trying to keep him comfortable. Deepika is by his side comforting him. They removed the last drainage tube on Friday and she was finally able to hold him.

On a happy note, today, Jevesh turns four months old...he has gone through more in these last few months than some may go through in a lifetime, but he is strong and courageous - just like him mom and dad. I wish you stong health, a quick recovery, and plenty of love and prayers to keep you going.

December 07, 08, and 09, 2008...Jevesh decides to arrive early

Our tale begins around 11:00pm on the evening of Sunday, December 11. Deepika's water breaks...She did not wake anyone immediately, unsure that it was really happening.

Upon waking the others, it was decided to wait. She was not feeling any contractions and the water was still coming...slowly. The next day, she went in to see her doctor, who confirmed that Deepika's water had indeed broken and she needed to be admitted. After going home to pick up a few things and have some lunch :) she headed to the hospital to be admitted. Then there was the waiting...and waiting...Even though Jevesh had decided to arrive a week early, he was going to take his time...

After some waiting and some effort, Jevesh entered the world...6lbs and 15.5 ounces to be exact and 20 inches long. He was beautiful...He was healthy...Deepika was smiling...staring in to the eyes of her beautiful, adorable son...Seeing herself, Seeing Amit, Seeing her boy...

Then there was rest, at least a little.
